
Tara Jean Brown, PP, CLP, SCCP is a South Carolina certified paralegal focusing her efforts on Probate and Trust Administration. She earned her Professional Paralegal certification in March 2009 and her Advanced Certification for Legal Professional in March 2008. With more than 30 years of experience in the legal field, she brings a deep well of knowledge and expertise to her work. She and Jessica assist the attorneys in collecting the information from the clients, scheduling meetings, communicating with all parties in a case, and implementing documents to court. She is also involved with the preparation and drafting of legal documents, scheduling hearings and mediation, and working with the attorneys to move the case forward.
Tara finds the greatest joy is in helping clients understand their options and guiding them toward solutions that bring clarity, confidence, and peace of mind to their lives.
Outside of work, Tara enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, and her two sons—one a proud United States Marine Corps veteran who now owns his own business, and the other who works hard helping his brother grow that business. In her spare time, she cherishes time with her grandbabies, Skylar and Everleigh, and loves making memories with family and friends. Tara especially enjoys spending time in the mountains or relaxing at the beach.
She has also served on the NALS Board of Directors, served as the NALS Treasurer in 2023, and is currently the President of NALS. In addition, she is the Chairperson for the Annual Greenville County Probate Court Seminar which is open to legal support staff, paralegals, and attorneys.
